A Lasting Legacy
In 1998, Angie and Dale Payne started A American Container, a company specializing in container rentals, sales, and modifications. Their vision transformed the business, leading to major projects like Furgs Bar, the Tampa General Hospital Food Pantry, and container homes.
After Dale’s passing in 2009, Angie took full leadership while raising their two children Jordan and Mackayla. She adapted to new responsibilities, managing both technical and financial aspects of the company. Her leadership drove A American Container’s growth, and by 2015, it had expanded to a 3-acre facility, allowing for a custom-built rental fleet and a dedicated modification wing.
Angie is currently earning a Doctorate in Business from USF MUMA, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and growth. While she plans to one day transition into academia to educate aspiring entrepreneurs on business success, the family legacy will continue through her children, Jordan and Mackayla, who are preparing to take over A American Container and lead it into the future.
Angie is currently serving as chairman of the National Portable Storage Association, following in Dale’s footsteps as its 2009 chairman—making them the first husband and wife to both hold the role. Through hard work and vision, she has built the company into an industry leader, ensuring its legacy for years to come.
