Let’s face it, about a third of the phone calls we receive every single day mention our dogs. And honestly, we couldn’t be happier—because we love them more than anything.
Today, we’re throwing a little celebration (and probably a few treats) because Sage and Franklin are turning ONE! 🎉🐾🎉
From Office Puppies to Workplace Celebrities
What started as two floppy-eared puppies running around the office has turned into full-on mascot status. Whether they’re greeting customers, running across the yard after hours, or napping under someone’s desk, Sage and Franklin have become a core part of daily life at A American Container.
They were born right here—literally. Their mom, Scout, is our family dog, and we were lucky enough to be there when these two came into the world. Born at just around 1 lb each, they’ve grown into strong, beautiful Anatolian Shepherds. These days, Franklin weighs in at about 110 lbs, while Sage holds steady at around 90 lbs—and they’re still convinced they’re lap dogs.
They’ve grown up fast—but they’ve kept the same goofy personalities and oversized paws that won everyone over in the first place.
A Little About the Birthday Duo
Sage is the sweetie pie. She’s never met a stranger and assumes every visitor is here to see her—and let’s be honest, many of you are. She’s a mama’s girl and loves to just hang.
Franklin, on the other hand, is a little more laid back but is smarter than any other dog we have at the yard. He has figured out how to open the gate at our office so he can personally greet every single customer (we’ve since added a lock, but it’s only a matter of time before he figures that out too). He’s the thinker of the two, always watching, observing, and quietly judging your lunch choices.
Together, they’re the unofficial morale boosters, stress relievers, and four-legged co-workers none of us knew we needed—but now can’t imagine the office without.

We’re so grateful for how many of you—customers, vendors, delivery drivers, and neighbors—have embraced Sage and Franklin like your own. Whether you’ve brought treats, asked for pupdates, or just called to say, “How are the dogs doing?”—we love you for it.
