In June 2021, our CEO Angie Payne was inducted into the Board of Directors for the Tampa Propeller Club. She has been a member since 2009.
In her role as an officer of the board, Angie will help to advance the Club’s mission of supporting the maritime industry, promoting maritime education, and providing opportunities to foster goodwill and cooperative relationships in our community.
Since 2005, the Propeller Club has elected a select seven members to its board. Board members are elected from a list of candidates recommended by a joint committee made up of members from the Propeller Club and the Port of Tampa Maritime Industry Association.
About Angie Payne
For 22 years, Angie Payne has served as the Co-Founder and CEO/President of A American Container. A strong entrepreneurship professional, she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in Accounting and Management from Saint Leo University. She is also the proud mother of two; both are now also involved in the family business.

The International Propeller Club of the United States is a worldwide business network with over 80 chapters dedicated to the promotion of the maritime industry, commerce, and global trade.
The Propeller Club–Port of Tampa was founded in 1929. Since then, the organization has been dedicated to the success and welfare of the Port of Tampa Bay, its maritime communities, and its customers. With approximately 500 local members, the Tampa Club has been recognized as IPC Club of the Year multiple times. The Propeller Club gives back to the Tampa community through a variety of initiatives.
Our membership is diversified and all are welcome. Currently, members work in a variety of industries including shipyards, trucking companies, steamship agencies, legal firms, banks, and more.
